The competition proposal for the Middenschool in Geraardsbergen (GO! ) is searching for a new organisational identity. Amidst the historical and classified late 19th and mid-20th century volumetrics, we propose to insert new internal ‘organs’ that revive the setting and one new building to grasp the connection with the city and adjacent river Dender. New connections, elevated playgrounds, pathways and inner gardens reorganise the former solitary buildings into a fluid, playful storyline.
